Jo Yuri Didn’t Know “Squid Game 3” Ending? Strict Secrecy after Park Gyu-young’s Spoiler Scandal

Appearing on the July 12 episode of “The Manager” (originally “전지적 참견 시점”, also known as “Point of Omniscient Interfere”), K-pop singer and actress Jo Yuri has lifted the veil on just how secretive the filming of Netflix’s “Squid Game Season 3” was – to the point even the cast had no idea about the ending.
In particular, Jo Yuri opened up about her behind-the-scenes experience during the hit series’ production while chatting with her manager, revealing, “We had to place stickers over our phone cameras and access the set via a QR code. Even I only found out the ending after watching it. Once my character died, they didn’t give me any more script pages.”
This revelation of Jo Yuri drew keen discussion, especially as people compared it to the “spoiler scandal” of her “Squid Game” co-star Park Gyu-young. Previously, Park Gyu-young stirred up debate after posting behind-the-scenes photos that included potential spoilers, drawing criticism from fans and media alike.
Later on, at a press conference for “Squid Game 3”, Park Gyu-young’s mistake was mentioned, with director Hwang Dong‑hyuk defending the actress, saying, “Mistakes are human, and it’s unfair to dwell on one. We considered it a minor incident and moved on.”
Meanwhile, Jo Yuri also mentioned becoming close with all the actors while living on set and the time she filmed with fellow actor David Lee. She also mentioned she was only allowed to tell her agency and immediate family about her casting after passing the audition.
Additionally, she clarified previous rumors of being paid 4.2 billion won for her appearance for the series, saying that the real number is much lower.
